Beautiful antique violin from an estate, signed by luthier Halus and Bodruger. Violin is 23 1/2 inches long and 8 inches wide. Rich and strong sound, tested by a professional musician. Blue Thomastik strings, a 28 3/4 inches nickel plated bow, Aubert France and Panpi USA bridges, a wooden Poehland USA chin rest, a wooden case, mute and tuner. Bow has hair left but needs new ones. Violin has its original old oil varnish and patina. It has the following luthier hand markings inside: Repaired by Nicholas Halus 1944, Rep. 19 Fev 1943 "Bodruger" (date in French). No maker found. Violin is sold as is, will require adjustments and repairs depending on use since it is antique. Please see detailed photos.
