Original acrylic on flakeboard painting by Quebec artist Jérôme Rochette, 32 X 41 inches, signed and dated July 22nd 2014. Entitled "Mourir comme ça" in French, translates to "Die like this". Tribute to the tragic crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 that disappeared with 239 people on board, aircraft never found to this date. The airplane is identified in the painting and portrays its explosion due to a tornado.
Jérôme Rochette is a Quebec City painter who lives in the St-Roch district, born in 1978. His paintings are influenced by street art, tattoos, people, news events and biology. He usually uses acrylic paint, charcoal, marker and spray paint. His work is featured in several public exhibitions in Quebec and at Galerie Le Royer in Montreal. We acquired several of his paintings at auction and are currently featuring his work.
